Casper and Memorial Day weekend will play host to the 17th annual “Cruzin’ With The Oldies” weekend. It all kicks off Friday May 26th at 10:00 am with a Greiner Ford Mustang Show at 3333 CY Avenue in Casper. The dealership is the host for the awards at their dealership on Friday.

According to a press release, officials say that attendees can look forward to an All Mopar Show at Fremont Motors on Friday at 10:00 am at their dealership, 6101 East 2nd street in Casper. Fremont Motors is the host for registration and awards at their dealership on Friday.

New this year, Fremont Volkswagen is hosting a import and tuner show at the VW dealership. This will also be on Friday at 10:00 am, adjacent to Fremont Motors Chrysler dealership. They will be the host for registration and awards on Friday for the import show.

On Saturday many activities starts with a Donut Derelict cruise for participants to do a cruise around town for a special guided tour. Then there will be the Old Yellowstone district Cruise-in Saturday from 11am to 4pm, where local merchants will have food available. Later that evening there will be live band music, courtesy of John Huff and the Old Yellowstone Garage.

The participants “Cruise for Cash” starts at 3:00 pm, Saturday, and will be heading from the Yellowstone District at approximately 4:00 pm. “This is the best opportunity for the public to see the parade of cars that are on the Cruise,” says the official event announcement.

The Sunday “Show and Shine welcomes entries from all types of vehicles such as classics, muscle cars, street rods, rat rods, trucks, sport compact/tuner and age 25 and under. All entries must be registered at the show registration booth at the host Hotel Parkway Plaza to participate in the Cruise, Cruise for Cash and the Sunday car show. Registration cutoff deadline is May 27th at 4pm. No registration Sunday at the Natrona County Fairgrounds. Car show awards will be at 3pm Sunday at the Fairgrounds. There will be a swap meet at the fairgrounds along with food and other vendors.

The Sunday car show is free to the public.

In 2016, the event was able to provide over $9,000 to charitable causes, including the Casper College Veterans Scholarship Fund, amounting to four $2,000.00 scholarships to Casper College students.
