Just in time for its grand opening on August 16th, we here at Oil City are unveiling a new web camera overlooking David Street Station, the city’s newest community space. We’d like to extend our special thanks to The Lyric and to Casper’s Chad Cundy, for their assistance in making this possible.
The webcam went live this afternoon, just in time for the opening of David Street Station, and the Brian Scott Gamroth Community Stage.
According to a statement from the Downtown Development Authority, David Street Station is intended as an events-driven public space connecting the Old Yellowstone District to Downtown Casper. The first large event at David Street Station will be the 4-day Eclipse Festival, with live music and entertainment, food trucks, vendors, beer, and activities for the whole family. The Wyoming Eclipse Festival starts Friday, August 18th and runs from 10am to 10pm through August 21st.

A ceremonial ribbon cutting will follow, as the space is formally and officially opened to the public, but you can also watch it, right here.
