The Casper College Collegiate Chorale and the Laramie County Community College Cantorei will perform a choral concert Saturday, March 9 in Wheeler Concert Hall in Casper College’s Music Building, according to a Casper College news release.
The article explains that both choirs will perform composer Gabriel Fauré’s “Requiem”.
“”The ‘Requiem’ is a pillar of 20th-century choral repertoire and is noted for its comforting, lyrical quality,'” Casper College choral instructor Zachary Vreeman is quoted as saying in the release. “‘It features choirs and soloist, and will be accompanied by organ.’”

The choirs will perform music on their own following the “Requiem” performance, the release states. Vreeman said in the release that it is the first time the two choirs have collaborated since he was at Casper College and since vocal music instructor Beth Kean was at LCCC.
The concert will begin at 3 p.m. Saturday and is free and open to the public, according to the release. The choirs will travel to Cheyenne for a 3 p.m. Sunday March 10 concert at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, which is also free and open to the public.
St. Mark’s is located at 1908 Central Avenue in Cheyenne.
