The International Thespian Festival will be held in Lincoln, Nebraska in June, according to a May 2 NCSD press release.
“The International Thespian Festival is a week-long event in which more than 4,000 of the best and brightest high school actors and theatre technicians compete in many theatrical events, take workshops from college and professional theatre specialists, and watch one act and full productions from the best programs in the United States, Canada, China, and more,” the release states.
Drama Department director Zach Schneider said it will be the first time that NCHS students participate in the International Thespian Festival.
“’Each state nominates the best one-act play from their state competitions to perform as that state’s chapter select show,’” the release quotes Schneider. “’This is the first time NCHS has earned the honor to represent Wyoming.'”
The “She Kills Monsters” performances will be staged in NCHS’s John F. Welsh Auditorium. Tickets are also available at the NCHS Main Office.
