Traditionally Cinco de Mayo was a celebration of the Mexican army’s victory over the French Empire at the Battle of Puebla, on May 5, 1862.

The holiday is barely a thing in Mexico, but in America it has been long used as an excuse by beverage conglomerates to sell a lot of beer.

More recently its also become a celebration Mexican/American culture and food.

In Casper, we have a number of options to celebrate the flavors of Mexican cuisine, much of which will actually happen on Saturday the 4th.

Taco Fest at David Street Station

Celebrate Cinco De Mayo with Grant Street Grocery and Market, Urban Bottle, and Need More Salsa. Come by for delicious food, salsa tasting, cervezas, and margaritas and more! Cinco de Mayo Super Maquina Show and Junior Boxing Event

Casper boxing club will be hosting a regional competition Cinco de Mayo weekend, delicious Mexican food and great live boxing! And to celebrate Cinco de Mayo Super, Maquina Show ( baile Mexicano) will be performing live Saturday May 4th , please come out and support our local talent thank you! 910 Barbara Street. Food by Tacos de Barbocoa, Antojos Mexicanos. Boxing during the day, show starts at 8 p.m.

Awareness Parade & Blessings of the Bikes Luncheon

Come join us at OCHD after the Blessing of the Bikes and the Biker Awareness Parade for a free luncheon of Walking Tacos!!

We will also continue selling raffle tickets for the pistol and the drawing will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday. Need not to be present to win. We will contact you!!

There will be a 50/50 raffle as well. $5.00 for an arms’s length or $10.00 for a wing span. You MUST be present to win, drawing will be at 3:00 pm.

Drink Specials, fun food and most of all SINGO.
We will start SINGO at 5pm and have three rounds. Each round lasts about an hour or so, come at 5pm, 6pm or 7pm and you’ll be sure to catch some of the action.
