CASPER, Wyo. – A new self-defense clinic will be available at the Casper Recreation Center later this month.
According to a release, the clinic is open to people ages 16 and over and takes place on Saturday, Feb. 22.
The clinic is described as teaching “awareness and insight on how to avoid getting into compromising situations that might arise with other people,” said the release.

The clinic emphasizes avoiding situations and learning how to defend if the situation warrants.
Instructor Jessica McQuistion has over 20 years of experience, according to the release, and has been teaching Martial Arts for seven years.
The class on Feb. 22 is from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and costs $40. No special skills or equipment is required, and participants are asked to wear “comfortable clothes.” There will be a one-hour lunch break, but lunch is not provided.
