CASPER, Wyo — The seventh annual Casper College T-Bird Trek returns Sunday, September 12, the college announced in March.
There are two half-marathon options. One starts at the CC campus, goes up Casper Mountain Road, and turns around at Lookout Point before returning to campus. The second option is to start on East End Road, 13.1 miles from campus. CC will bus participants to the start of the ‘Downhill Half.”
There is also a 10K that starts on campus and turns around just past Wyoming Boulevard. The 5K course stays on the CC campus proper. More details on the courses are available here. There are also options to run the race virtually (the running is real, but takes place elsewhere.)

Funds raised through sponsorships and participant fees are used to provide scholarship dollars for CC students, the college said.
“We are thrilled to have so many businesses who have already stepped up to sponsor this year’s Trek,” said Ann Dalton, race director and associate director of development for the Casper College Foundation and Alumni Association.
“We are hoping to see more businesses sign up for one of the sponsorship opportunities,” she said.
Race sponsorships are available for $2,500. Those interested can choose to sponsor one of the five races: Lookout Point Half-Marathon, Downhill Half-Marathon, 10K, 5K, or Virtual Trek.
For $1,000, Water Station sponsorships are available, and for $500, Mile Marker sponsorships are available.
“This year, we will hang all sponsorship banners in honor of all our past sponsors since the first Trek in 2015. Whether an organization can provide sponsorship or not, it is our way of saying ‘thank you’ for the kindness they have shown to the foundation and alumni association,” Dalton said.
