CASPER, Wyo. — The Magpul Wyoming Governor’s Match, a nationally recognized shooting competition, will return to Casper at the end of July, drawing hundreds of competitive shooters to the city.

“The Governor’s Match will feature up to 360 competitive shooters in a USPSA Level II match that includes 10 stages plus chrono, 400 rounds and zero competitor reset, meaning shooters can concentrate on the competition and not worry about stage reset,” wrote Wyoming Outdoor Recreation in a statement.

Shooters from all over the United States and Canada are expected to participate in the timed competition, Visit Casper told Oil City previously. They will be scored on both accuracy and time, and must follow USPSA rules found on its website.

The competition is open for the public to view, and the course is designed so that people can spectate.

This year’s match is organized by the Casper Shooters Club, Visit Casper and Wyoming Outdoor recreation. It made its debut in 2017, and has been held in Cheyenne and Cody in previous years. Since then, the match has added Vortex Optics as its presenting sponsor, making it the Magpul Wyoming Governor’s Match presented by Vortex Optics.

The competition will be held next Thursday through Sunday, July 28–31, at Stuckenhoff Shooters Complex in Casper.
