CASPER, Wyo. — On Saturday, the Wyoming Symphony Orchestra kicked off its latest season with its annual outdoor concert, this year featuring the music of legendary rock group Queen.

The orchestra was led by its music director, Christopher Dragon, and was joined by a local choir as well as the Canadian rock band Jeans n’ Classics. Vocalist David Blamires pulled off the killer Queen vocal duties.

According to his website, singer and multi-instrumentalist Blamires has decades of experience in the music industry, starting out as a session player in Toronto before eventually joining the fabled Pat Metheny Group, where he and the band won multiple Grammy awards for albums they produced in the 1980s and 1990s. Born in England and raised in Canada, Blamires is now a solo recording and touring musician based in Chicago.
