CASPER, Wyo. — Crime Stoppers of Central Wyoming is holding its Thankful Thursday fundraiser at the Beacon Club in Mills today, March 16, at 5 p.m., according to a Casper Police Department alert.
The organization allows people to report crimes anonymously, described by police as a clearing house for incoming information statewide, information which is then forwarded to the appropriate agency.
Crime Stoppers also helps provide rewards for larger crimes, which, at times, helps illicit information that might not otherwise be received.
Money received from Thankful Thursday will help provide upkeep of the required software and services required to make this a possibility, the release added.
“Come out to Thankful Thursday, have a good time, and help us raise funds to keep this very important program operating,” the release said.
