CASPER, Wyo. — The City of Casper Recreation Department, in partnership with the Casper Recreational Leagues Association, is getting ready for its 38th Annual Casper Open Volleyball Tournament.
Set for Nov. 11–12, the event is regarded as one of the largest adult volleyball tournaments in the region, according to a City of Casper press release.
Last year, the tournament attracted 136 men’s and women’s teams from states including Wyoming, Colorado, Montana and South Dakota, resulting in nearly 596 matches across 23 Casper courts.
The competition offers various play levels for both men’s and women’s teams: “A” Division for power volleyball, “B” Division for semi-power volleyball and “C” Division for recreational volleyball. Top performers in each division will receive awards.
Teams are reminded of the $200 entry fee, due by Oct. 29. The two-day event will feature pool play for all teams on Saturday, followed by a double elimination competition on Sunday.
Payment can be made to the City of Casper, and registrations are accepted online at www.crlasports.com or can be sent to the Casper Recreation Center at 1801 E. 4th St. Comprehensive tournament details are available here.
