EVANSVILLE, Wyo. — The Evansville Police Department will offer a Bike Safety Rodeo to help local children learn cycling safety tips. The event is scheduled for June 29 at 11 a.m. in the Evansville Town Hall parking lot, 235 Curtis St.

The event is open to children 12 and under. Kids are encouraged to bring bicycles, tricycles and scooters. Attendees will learn about the rules of the road for cyclists as well as other bike safety tips.

The event will also feature a giveaway, with Walmart donating two 20-inch bikes that will be given, along with helmets, to a pair of participants.

The department asks that families wishing to participate call ahead at 307-234-1270.
