CASPER, Wyo. — Lovers of comics, anime and all things nerdy have reason to celebrate, as the sixth annual Casper Comic Con is slated for this coming weekend. The two-day convention is scheduled for June 29–30 at the Ford Wyoming Center.

Dozens of vendors will be present, selling a wide variety of items including comics, figurines, cosplay supplies, general memorabilia and much more. Attendees are encouraged to take part in the fun by cosplaying as their favorite characters.

Cosplayers will be able to put their costumes up against others in attendance with the cosplay contests. The adult contest is scheduled for Saturday at 4:30 p.m., with a grand prize of $400. The kids contest is Sunday at 2 p.m. and will feature a grand prize of $200.

Comic Con’s featured guest will be JL Mast, a writer and storyboard artist who has been involved in several projects for Marvel Comics, including issues of “Daredevil,” “Punisher,” “Ultimate Spider-Man Infinite” and more. He has conducted numerous workshops and masterclasses worldwide, teaching Virtual Reality comics to people from ages 5 to 98. Currently, he is working on a major graphic novel, “Fathers of Marvel Comics,” exploring a new side of Marvel’s history, set for release in 2025.

Saturday day passes are $15 in advance and $20 at the gate; Sunday passes are $10 in advance and $15 at the door; and two-day passes are $20 in advance and $25 the day of. Tickets can be purchased online here.
