Community Health Center welcomes new leadership

Three new members joined the Community Health Centers of Central Wyoming according to a Wednesday, Feb. 13 CHCCW press release. Dr. Robert Day is the center’s new chief medical officer and family physician, certified accountant Jennifer Kuehn came on board as chief financial officer and social worker Carol King became director of behavioral health states the press release.

CHCCW says the leaders are focused on providing high quality care to the health center’s patients. The release says that Day previously practiced medicine in Kitwe, Zambia, providing care for “vulnerable and medically isolated” Zambians.

“Living in a developing country context has taught me many deep lessons about patience, humility, providing dignity to the desolate and discouraged, and appreciating the value of access to healthcare,” Day is quoted as saying in the press release.

Keuhn brings 12 years of finance experience to the health center, the release says. She comes to Casper after living in Twin Falls, Idaho.

The press release says that King has more than 30 years of behavioral health experience and that her mental health knowledge would be valuable for the health center’s patients.

The organization has health centers in Casper, Riverton and Dubois. The press release states that services in Casper include urgent care, family care, behavioral health services, x-rays and other lab services, women’s health services, occupational medicine and dental service. CHCCW says it accepts all insurance including Medicare and Medicaid.

The Casper health center is located at 5000 Blackmore Rd. behind the Eastridge Mall.
