CASPER, Wyo. — The Casper-Natrona County Health Department is teaming up with other local health organizations for the 3rd Annual Brunch and Breast Health event during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

In collaboration with the Wyoming Breast Cancer Initiative, Casper Medical Imaging & Outpatient Radiology, and Wyoming Cancer Resources Region II, the event is aimed at promoting the importance of early breast cancer detection and offering educational resources to the community.

Taking place Oct. 14 from 8 a.m. to noon at Casper Medical Imaging & Outpatient Radiology, 419 S. Washington St., attendees will have the chance to learn about breast health, indulge in some brunch and even have a mammogram screening. Those who attend can look forward to hourly giveaways, educational sessions, pampering and a supportive community atmosphere.

Wyoming Cancer Program staff will be present to assist uninsured or underinsured individuals in applying for mammogram assistance programs, ensuring that everyone has access to vital screening services.

“No appointment is necessary to attend, but space is limited,” the Casper-Natrona County Health Department event announcement states. “Screening saves lives. This could be the opportunity that makes a crucial difference in someone’s life.”
