Slow, steady decline in NCSD COVID-19 cases continues in two-week update

CASPER, Wyo. — The Natrona County School District reported that there have been 66 students and 19 staff members who tested positive for COVID-19 from November 6 – November 19.

In addition, there are 196 student and seven staff quarantines reported.

In the previous report (from October 23 – November 5), there were:

  • 74 student positive cases
  • 20 staff positive cases
  • 260 student quarantines 
  • 7 staff quarantines

The district’s COVID-19 Dashboard will be providing updates of known COVID-19 impacts to school/district facilities every two weeks.

Information regarding schools, locations, and numbers of students and staff impacted will be reported “as long as identification falls within the aggregated reporting requirements of FERPA,” NCSD said.  

“If at any time the disclosure of information could allow for the identification of a specific individual, the information will not be released,” NCSD said.

Isolations and quarantines listed below are reported by the Casper-Natrona County Health Department, a healthcare provider, parent/guardian, or individual employee, NCSD said.

NCSD spokesperson Tanya Southerland confirmed that the dashboard language reporting “isolations” denotes positive cases.

Student isolations (positive cases) are reported as follows:

  • Casper Classical Academy – 7
  • Centennial Middle School – 1
  • Crest Hill Elementary – 3
  • CY Middle School – 3
  • Dean Morgan Middle School – 5
  • Evansville Elementary – 3
  • Fort Caspar Academy – 4
  • Journey Elementary – 1
  • Kelly Walsh High School – 11
  • Manor Heights Elementary – 2
  • Natrona County High School – 7
  • Paradise Valley Elementary – 4
  • Poison Spider – 2
  • Sagewood Elementary – 4
  • Summit Elementary – 5
  • Verda James Elementary – 2
  • Woods Learning Center – 2

Staff isolations (positive cases) are reported as follows:

  • Central Services Facility and Extended Campuses – 9
  • Centennial Middle School -1
  • Cottonwood Elementary – 1
  • Crest Hill Elementary – 1
  • CY Middle School – 1
  • Evansville Elementary – 1
  • Fort Caspar Academy – 1
