MILLS, Wyo. — Patrons of the Bayou Bar and Grill in Mills on Friday night were able to enjoy the tunes of local band Mastermind of Monkey in one of the group’s final live performances.

The band played a number of covers of classic rock songs, such as a stirring rendition of Pink Floyd’s “Another Brick in the Wall Pt. 2,” as well as original songs like “Some Grace” from their latest album, “The Serpent’s Cries.”

The show was the band’s third-to-last time performing live, as lead guitarist and vocalist Tristan Adamson and drummer Ty Moore will be moving to the Denver area next month. Before that, the band will be performing at Frontier Brewing on Sept. 22.

The band will host a farewell show on Sept. 30 at Oil City Beer Company, featuring a number of local guest artists.
