Isaiah Elieso Armijo

Isaiah Elieso Armijo: 1987 – 2022

Isaiah Elieso Armijo, age 35, was born January 6, 1987, in Rawlins, Wyoming. He passed away September 16, 2022, in Rawlins of health problems.

Isaiah is survived by his loving parents David and Frieda Armijo, daughter Aspen, son Zaydiah Armijo, brother Matthew Armijo, stepson Mateo Armijo, and nieces Lola and Reina Armijo. He is also survived by his grandmother Carmen Baldonado; great-aunt Marcella Archuleta; aunts and uncles Annie and Bobby Martinez, George and Genieve Herrera, Carmella and Jose Fernandez, Mercy Herrera, Irene and Arthur Martinez, Alfred and LaRae Herrera, Michelle Herrera, May Herrera, Sandy and Roger Martinez, and Darlene Lovato; and numerous cousins.

Isaiah was preceded in death by his brother David Lee Armijo, uncle Ben Armijo, cousins Venice Armijo and Desmond Martinez, grandfather Clyde Baldonado, grandparents Alfred and Mercy Herrera, aunt Mary Jane Martinez, and cousin Eric Martinez.

Arrangements are under the direction of Newcomer Casper Chapel. 

Michael D. “Mike” Stadtfeld

Michael D. “Mike” Stadtfeld: 1939 – 2022

Michael D. Stadtfeld was born February 16, 1939, in Greybull, Wyoming, to parents Emil Michael and Loraine Chamberlain Stadtfeld.

The family moved to Casper, Wyoming, within the next year, where Mike subsequently grew up.

He attended St. Anthony School and, later, St. Patrick’s Academy in Sidney, Nebraska, from which he graduated in 1957.

Mike married Judy Piel on June 20, 1959, and together they built a life on their beloved Meadow Acres property with their sons, Steven and Randy. Mike loved his land, horses, and his community. Mike’s love of all things outdoors led to his favorite leisure activities, camping and fishing being chief among them.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents; his dear parents-in-law Mike and Orpha Piel; and his only brother, Lawrence, known by all as Larry.

Mike is survived by Judy, his cherished wife of 63 years; his sisters Judith Turner, Margaret Heitt and Mary Parthemer; his sons Steven and Randy; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are under the direction of Newcomer Casper Chapel. 

Lois Ardeth Minsaas: 1938 – 2022

Lois Minsaas, 84, of Casper, Wyoming, passed away peacefully Sunday, September 25, 2022, at her home.

Lois was born March 22, 1938, in Neillsville, Wisconsin, to Frank and Alice Knoop. She graduated from Neillsville High School in 1956. She met the love of her life, Gale, at the age of 16 while roller skating. They were married November 23, 1957, in Neillsville.

Gale’s work in the oil fields took them first to Montana and then across the western United States. They finally landed in Casper in 1974, where they made their home and raised their son, John. Lois worked at Hilltop Laundromat for many, many years.

Lois is survived by her husband Gale and son John (Randi Kaster) of Casper, Wyoming; sister Jean (Kenny) Goetz of Wisconsin; grandchildren Dalton (Taylor) Minsaas of Wheatland, Wyoming, and Courtney (Talha) Soomro of Dayton, Ohio; and five great-grandchildren.

Arrangements are under the direction of Newcomer Casper Chapel.
