An overnight trip to enjoy a baseball game in Billings, Montana, is being offered through the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Casper College. Membership in OLLI is not required to participate in the trip.

According to Vicki Pollock, lifelong learning specialist, the two-day adventure will feature a night game between the Billings Mustangs and the Orem Owlz at Dehler Park on Tuesday, July 18. The Mustangs are a farm team for the Cincinnati Reds while the Owlz are a farm team for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. While watching the ballgame, participants will enjoy delicious ballpark food. Baseball aficionado John Ewing will provide baseball facts and knowledge as part of the trip.

While heading to Billings, the bus will stop in Sheridan, Wyoming, for lunch and shopping. The following day will feature a tour of the historic Moss Mansion in downtown Billings and time for shopping and strolling before heading back to Casper.

OLLI is a program created for adults, age 50-and-up, who wish to continue learning and exploring for the sheer joy of it. Supported by the Bernard Osher Foundation, OLLI is a learning community offering several short courses, field trips and lectures of particular interest to adult learners who are interested in taking short-term, non-credit classes. No college background is needed. Activities take place on the Casper College campus as well as offsite in other community locations.

The cost of the trip includes transportation, hotel accommodations, breakfast at the hotel, the Moss Mansion tour, ballgame tickets, and food at the ballgame. The cost for single room is $390 per person, $325 per person for double, and $300 for triple. Seating is limited and the deadline to sign up is Monday, July 10.
