The team may have added energy with the possibility that fast pitch softball could become a sanctioned high school sport in 2020.
The SYNERGY are “looking for like-minded players from 8th grade to senior
that want to take their game to the next level and be ready for high school softball in 2020.”
The Wyoming High School Activities Association says they need commitments from eight schools to sanction the sport.
Seven high schools have already committed: Campbell County, Cody, Green River, Kelly Walsh, Natrona County, Rock Springs and Thunder Basin.
The Albany County school district will be discussing their possible commitment at a meeting next week and would then vote the following week, according to softball coach Dallen Griffith.
The SYNERGY will be coached by Devon Houser, Mitch Sorensen and Chad Wood.
“Focused individual development from past Division 1 & 2 coaching staff with 30 plus years of combined coaching/playing experience,” the announcement states.
