LARAMIE, Wyo. — The Wyoming men’s basketball’s game against Boise State scheduled for Saturday afternoon at Arena-Auditorium has been postponed due to COVID-19 concerns in the Broncos’ program.

Virus issues in the Boise State program sprang up late Saturday morning, according to a UW news release. The official announcement inside the arena came with about 20 minutes remaining on the clock until the scheduled tipoff of 2 p.m.

Rescheduling of the game will occur at a later date. If the game cannot be rescheduled, it will be declared a no contest.

Wyoming athletic director Tom Burman apologized on Twitter for the cancellation, saying that Boise State was waiting on “final testing results” to confirm the news.

Saturday’s game was scheduled to be the Mountain West Conference opener for the Cowboys, who are currently 11–2 overall.

Wyoming’s next scheduled game is at 9 p.m. Tuesday at Nevada.
