CASPER, Wyo. — Casper College Thunderbird Mia Hutchinson had quite a week on the volleyball court and was recently recognized as the National Junior College Athletic Association’s Player of the Week.

In five matches last week, Hutchinson finished with 64 kills, 45 digs and nine aces. Across that stretch, the Thunderbirds went an impressive 4–1.

Hutchinson, a Star Valley native who plays outside hitter for Casper College, has 261 kills thus far this season.

“Mia has put the hard work in to make herself a competitive teammate in helping the team accomplish our goals and for herself,” head coach Angel Sharman said in a press release. “[She’s a] very unselfish person, puts in the work and gives everything on the court.”
