The Wyoming Rescue Mission has plenty of shelter for individuals to get out of the extreme cold. The Mission is providing hot meals and said it has more shelter available Thursday, Feb.7 at its new Park Street Center.

“We had over 80 people stay with us last night,” said the Mission’s Marketing and Events Manager Abby Huck. “Our Park Street shelter has a 205 [person] capacity.”

Huck said she wanted people to know they have options with the weather as cold as it is.

“We just want to remind people there’s a place they can stay with this wonderful Wyoming weather we’re having,” she said.

Huck also said that people looking to offer assistance could consider donating clothes or food to the Mission.

“If you are looking for ways to donate to Wyoming Rescue Mission during this time, gifts of food and new/gently used coats, hats and gloves can be delivered to the Park Street Center,” a Mission press release reads.

The Park Street Center is located at 230 N. Park St. in Casper.

“Monetary donations can be made online at wyomission.org or mailed to P.O. Box 2030 Casper, WY 82602,” the release continues. “Additional information about Mission activities and year-round programs and services are available online as well.”
