‘Significant weather advisory’ for South Central Natrona County

The National Weather Service is issuing a warning for a strong thunderstorm near Alcova on Tuesday afternoon.

The statement issued just after 4 p.m. calls for half-inch hail and winds in excess of 30 mph.

The strong thunderstorm will approach Alcova around 4:30 p.m., according to the statement.

In western Natrona County the NWS issued a tornado warning earlier. The warning was allowed to expire, but thunderstorms with hail are still possible.

Around the Casper area, the NWS is calling for thunderstorms, fog and even snow tomorrow morning, with a high of 37 degrees predicted for Wednesday.
