Up to 6 inches of snow possible in Casper and Natrona County

CASPER, Wyo. – The National Weather Service in Riverton has issued a winter storm warning for Natrona County and much of central Wyoming.

According to the NWS, the snow should continue through tomorrow afternoon, making travel along I-25 difficult.

Overnight temperatures dipped to the upper 20s, and highs today and tomorrow should reach the low 40s.

The winter storm will continue through Thursday, when Casper will see a chance of thunderstorms.

Temperatures rise and skies clear by Friday, but gusty winds are expected.

WYDOT’s travel map lists most roads around Casper and central Wyoming as slick with snowfall, with numerous no unnecessary travel warnings around Cheyenne.
