CASPER, Wyo. – The National Weather Service said Rawlins broke the record for a low temperature in the month of October with a low of minus 19 degrees.

The Arctic front that brought unusually and dangerously cold temperatures through all of Wyoming is near its end, but a wind chill warning is in effect until 10 a.m. in Natrona County.

The high today in Casper is expected to hit 20 degrees, with 8 degrees expected tonight. Temperatures warm up to around 31 degrees on Halloween, but overall conditions will stay winter-like for the next few days.
