CASPER, Wyo. – The latest winter push left a skiff of snow in the Casper area on Sunday night, but the cold temperatures will remain.
The National Weather Service in Riverton is calling for a high today of 26 degrees and a low of 12 degrees, with gusty winds and chill values as low as 5 below zero.
Gusty winds will persist throughout the week, according to the NWS.

There’s a chance of snow starting Friday and through the weekend, says the NWS.
In a statement the NWS says “the next storm system will impact mainly western Wyoming with accumulating snow likely, especially in the mountains. The snow may spread east of the Continental Divide Friday into Saturday.”
The latest snow has had minor impact on road travel, with black ice warnings along I-80 between Cheyenne and Granger, and black ice on I-90 between Sheridan and Gillette.
Wyoming Blvd, or “Outer Drive” in Casper has a no unnecessary travel warning.
