I-25 reopens as snow eases in Casper, cold temperatures remain

CASPER, Wyo. – Snow moved through the Casper area on Saturday afternoon, bringing difficult traveling conditions along with holiday beauty.

While snow and non-existent winds turned Casper into a winter wonderland, I-25 between Casper and Douglas was closed for some period on Saturday night.

As of 6 a.m. Sunday, WYDOT has a black ice warning along between Casper and Douglas on I-25, with no unnecessary travel in Douglas.

Black ice warnings along I-80 between Lyman and Cheyenne are also in place.

The National Weather Service in Riverton says skies will be mostly sunny in Casper today, with breezes picking up later.

Temperatures will remain cold, with a high of 21 degrees today and 27 degrees tomorrow.

Overnight temperatures will dip to 2 degrees tonight, with wind chills as low as minus 15 degrees.
