CASPER, Wyo. — Sheriff’s officials in southwestern Wyoming say that specialized oversnow vehicles were utilized in a Search and Rescue effort earlier this week.
Uinta County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a call for help from a stranded Motorist, who reported that he, his wife and grandchild had become stuck in the area of State Line Dam and County Road 283 in Uinta County.
Several Deputies responded on snow machines and Mattracks Vehicle.

“Using GPS coordinates from the 911 call the three individuals were located and rescued before midnight,” Uinta County officials said Friday. “The [Uinta County] Sheriff’s Office reminds everyone to be prepared and think twice before driving into areas where Mother Nature is in charge.”
