CASPER, Wyo. — Crews with the Wyoming Department of Transportation are advising of probable closures and delays, as they attempt to cleanup Casper Mountain Road.
“WYDOT will work on snow cleanup and removal on Casper Mountain Road, WYO 251, February 13,” WYDOT said in a release Wednesday. “It’s estimated the work will take all day.”
Crews are said to have have rotary snow blowers, motor graders and other heavy equipment on the highway. Work extends from the area of Garden Creek Road to the terminus of the state’s highway, at the junction of the Hogadon turnoff.

“There will be lane closures and delays during this operation and those delays and lane closures will be fluid. Traffic control will be in place,” officials said. “Given the narrow highway, steep slopes and limited areas to put snow, equipment is likely to be operating across both travel lanes, onto the shoulders and within the overlook area.”
Travellers on WYO 251, residents and visitors, should expect to run into delays.
