CASPER, Wyo. – Thursday’s calm is about to be shattered in Natrona County, according to an advisory from the National Weather Service in Riverton.
The NWS says strong winds are expected to return to central Wyoming starting tonight.
The winds could being blowing and drifting snow in areas, making for difficult traveling conditions.

The NWS says Casper should expect southwest winds of 25 to 35 mph and gusts up to 50 mph.
In Casper, gusts as high as 65 mph on Outer Drive are expected, as well as ridges across Fremont County.
The worst conditions are expected on Friday from 5 a.m. to 2 p.m., said the NWS.
Gusty winds will continue though the weekend, though not quite as strong.
