CASPER, Wyo. – Winter-like low temperatures covered Wyoming overnight Thursday and into Friday morning.
According to the National Weather Service in Riverton, Casper recorded a low of minus 5 degrees early Friday morning. That’s just behind the record low of minus 6 degrees posted in 1997.
Other cold spots were Lander, Riverton, Buffalo and Worland all with 2 degrees, Big Piney with 4 degrees, and Greybull with 5 degrees.

Riverton and Worland set new records, and Greybull tied the previous record, according to the NWS.
A warming trend is underway, with a high of 57 degrees on Sunday and 60 degrees on Monday.
