Togwotee Pass gets snow on first day of July

While much of Wyoming is bone dry on this first day of July, Togwotee Pass was gifted a skiff of snow overnight.

The National Weather Service in Riverton posted a WYDOT photo of the pass looking pleasantly white on Wednesday morning. The pass sits at around 9,600 feet, they said.

Here in central Wyoming, snow is a distant memory. The NWS has issued a red flag fire warning through most of today as extremely dry conditions mix with gusty winds.
