Severe thunderstorm warnings for Johnson, Converse, and other counties until 11:00 pm

CASPER, Wyo —  The National Weather Services in Riverton and Cheyenne have issued Severe Thunderstorm Warnings for Southeastern Johnson County, including Kaycee, and Converse County, in effect until 5:45.

Other counties that will be affected until 11:00 pm tonight are Campbell, Crook, Niobrara, Natrona, Sheridan and Weston counties.

60-mph wind gusts and quarter-size hail are possible with these storms. Hail damage to vehicles and wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees are expected. Torrential rainfall is also possible, and may cause localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded

A severe thunderstorm will be near Fort Reno Historical Site around 5:20 pm MDT.

NWS Cheyenne

Areas Glenrock, Rolling Hills, Rolling Hills Estates, Laprele Reservoir, Deer Creek and Boxelder will be affected around 5:20 pm.
