CASPER, Wyo — It will be hot and dry in Wyoming Sunday, with high temperatures in the mid to upper 80s, according to the National Weather Service. A high of 86 is expected in Casper and breezes could reach 22 mph.
Cheyenne will be sunny and hot, with a high near 92.
A Red Flag warning is in effect for southern portions of the state, including Sweetwater, Uinta and Lincoln counties. Relative humidity could be as low as 7% in those areas. Elevated fire danger conditions persist most elsewhere in the state. Winds 15 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph contribute to erratic fire behavior.

Citizens are asked to take precautions such as observing fire bans, properly disposing of smoking materials, and being aware of potential ignition sources such as vehicle chains that can throw sparks off the highway and welding torches that ignite nearby combustibles.
