Fog expected Wednesday night in Wyoming basins; Casper to see warming trend

CASPER, Wyo. — The National Weather Service in Riverton said on Wednesday that patchy fog is possible in basins and valleys in the western and central part of the state overnight.

The NWS in Riverton said that there is a low chance of widespread hazardous weather from Thursday through Tuesday.

The Casper area is expected to see somewhat of a warming trend as the week progresses. Wednesday’s high is forecast at 26 degrees, but the high is expected to reach near 36 degrees on Thursday and jump to 45 degrees on Friday.

The weekend is also expected to see highs in the upper 40s.

The seven day forecast for the Casper area is as follows, according to the NWS in Riverton:

Today Mostly sunny, with a high near 26. Blustery, with a west wind 6 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph.

Tonight Mostly clear, with a low around 8. Wind chill values as low as -5. Southwest wind 10 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Thursday Sunny, with a high near 36. Wind chill values as low as -10. Breezy, with a southwest wind 14 to 17 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph.

Thursday Night Mostly clear, with a low around 17. Southwest wind 11 to 13 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Friday Sunny, with a high near 45. Breezy, with a southwest wind 11 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 23 mph.

Friday Night Mostly clear, with a low around 19. Southwest wind around 10 mph.

Saturday Sunny, with a high near 46. Breezy, with a southwest wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Saturday Night Mostly clear, with a low around 21.
