CASPER, Wyo. – Punishing winds are expected to continue pummeling most of Wyoming before snow and cooler temperatures move in later Tuesday.
The National Weather Service in Cheyenne says gusts up to 80 mph are along sections of Interstate 25 between Cheyenne and Wheatland today. Interstate 25 between Casper and Douglas is closed to light and high profile vehicles as of Tuesday morning, along with Interstate 80 in Laramie. No major closures have been reported as of 6 a.m., according to WYDOT.
According to the NWS in Riverton, Casper is under a high wind warning through noon today, and could see gusts up to 65 mph in areas.

Winds in Casper are expected to subside by noon before light snow and cooler temperatures move into the area. Today’s high will be near 40 degrees, but the overnight low will dip to 10 degrees with minus 5 degree chills. Wednesday’s high will be 26 degrees, with light breezes and a chance for some snow.
