Wyoming Legislature won’t convene Tuesday as state deals with outfall from historic snowstorm


CASPER, Wyo. — The Wyoming Legislature did not convene on Monday and their meeting scheduled for Tuesday have also been cancelled.

The legislature was initially scheduled to hold the 20th day of their 2021 General Session on Monday, but meetings were cancelled as Wyoming dealt with a massive snowstorm which set an historic record in Cheyenne.

Closures persist on both I-25 and I-80 as of 5:20 pm Monday and closures are expected to last on both interstates into the late afternoon or evening Tuesday, according to the Wyoming Department of Transportation.

In addition to the Wyoming legislative session being cancelled Tuesday, the Legislative Service Office will remain closed.
