CASPER, Wyo. — The Casper area is expected to see some windy days Friday and into the weekend.
Breezy conditions are expected to continue Monday and Tuesday and on Wednesday, September 1, the first day of school in the Natrona County School District.
Students and teachers could potentially see some rain on the first day of the new school year with the National Weather Service in Riverton forecasting a chance of showers and thunderstorms. Wednesday is expected to be breezy with a high near 84 degrees.

With five days left of summer vacation for students, there should be some sunshine and warm temperatures. Friday is expected to see a high near 87 degrees. Wind gusts could reach as high as 32 mph.
Saturday is expected to be sunny but cooler, with the NWS in Riverton forecasting a high near 79 degrees. Wind gusts could reach as high as 21 mph.
Sunday’s high is expected to climb near 84 degrees with 20-mph wind gusts possible, according to the NWS in Riverton.
For the last two days before NCSD classes begin, students will have the chance to enjoy temperatures that could approach 90 degrees. Monday and Tuesday are expected to be sunny and mostly clear before some clouds roll in on Tuesday night, according to the NWS in Riverton.
