Casper Mountain could see rain and snow Monday and Tuesday night; 60% chance on Wednesday

CASPER, Wyo. — Casper Mountain could see some rain and snow on Monday and Tuesday night and snow showers are likely on Wednesday, according to the forecast from the National Weather Service (NWS) in Riverton.

Scattered rain and snow showers are possible in central and southern areas of the NWS in Riverton’s forecast area on Monday night. There is a 30% chance of rain in the Casper area and a 30% chance of rain and snow on Casper Mountain.

Tuesday afternoon is expected to see some gusty winds in western and central Wyoming. There is then a 50% chance of rain and snow showers on Casper Mountain on Tuesday night, according to the NWS in Riverton. There is a 20% chance of showers in the Casper area.

Widespread rain and snow showers along with gusty winds are expected across western and central Wyoming on Wednesday. There is a 60% chance of snow on Casper Mountain on Wednesday and a 50% chance of rain and snow at lower elevations. Snow accumulations are expected to be minimal.

There is a 20% chance of snow on Casper Mountain on Thursday, which is Veterans Day. Rain and snow is not expected in town. Gusty winds are expected across western and central Wyoming on Thursday, particularly in Johnson County, according to the NWS in Riverton.
