CASPER, Wyo. — There are “extreme blow over risk” advisories in effect on several highways in Wyoming on Wednesday night, according to the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT).
With gusts reaching near 60 mph in some areas, Interstate 80 is closed to light, high-profile vehicles from Laramie to Elk Mountain. Other traffic is allowed, but WYDOT is cautioning drivers of the strong winds.
U.S. Highways 30 and 287 are also seeing strong winds and are closed to light, high-profile vehicles from Laramie to Walcott Junction.
