Closures impacting I-80 across entire Cowboy State; Laramie–Rawlins closed in both directions, eastbound from Evanston

CASPER, Wyo. — Closures are impacting Interstate 80 across the entire Cowboy State, though traffic is allowed in some areas, according to the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT).

I-80 remains closed in both directions from Laramie to Rawlins as of 8:55 a.m. Friday, according to WYDOT. Westbound travel from Cheyenne to Laramie is also closed due to a rolling closure, though eastbound travel is open.

Eastbound travel is largely closed from Evanston to Rawlins due to rolling closures, though some local travel is allowed around communities along I-80.

As of 7:30 a.m. Friday, WYDOT listed the estimated opening time for closures along I-80 as 11-13 hours.

I-25 is open across Wyoming but “no unnecessary travel” advisories are in effect from Chugwater to Midwest, according to WYDOT.
