CASPER, Wyo. — Much of Interstate 80 is closed or under rolling closures from Cheyenne to Rock Springs on Friday morning after a storm bringing cold temperatures and snow rolled through Wyoming.
As of 5:30 a.m., Interstate 25 from Wheatland to Casper is under a no unnecessary travel warning.
Other Wyoming highways are affected as well. US 30 from Rock Springs to Cheyenne is closed in most areas, as is US 287 from Laramie to Rawlins.
Some snow is expected to continue falling in Natrona County and central Wyoming through late morning, according to the National Weather Service in Riverton.
Gusty winds are expected to return by late Friday, causing blowing snow and difficult travel conditions.
High winds will continue through the weekend, with wind chill values of minus 10 degrees likely on Saturday.
