CASPER, Wyo. — Closures due to winter conditions have lifted on Interstate 25 between Casper and Cheyenne Sunday afternoon, according to the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT).
A partial closure to light, high-profile vehicles due to high winds remains from Casper to Douglas on I-25.
A rolling closure is in effect on Interstate 80 eastbound from Evanston to Cheyenne. Westbound traffic from Laramie to Elk Mountain is closed to light, high-profile vehicles due to extreme blowover risk.
As of 2:50 p.m., the estimated re-opening time on I-80 eastbound is unknown, WYDOT said.
WY 258 between Laramie and Walcott Junction is also closed to wind-prone traffic.
Black ice is advised on WY 220 between Casper and Muddy Gap and on US 20/26/87 (the Old Glenrock Highway) between Casper and Glenrock.
WY 28 between Farson and the junction with US 287 is closed to light, high-profile vehicles due to blowover risk as of 2:45 p.m. Sunday.
