CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Hazardous travel conditions have caused lanes for certain directions of Interstates 25 and 80 near Cheyenne to be temporarily blocked due to crashes.

The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) listed Thursday afternoon that the right lane of I-80 westbound at milepost 332 near Buford is currently blocked due to a crash, as is I-25 northbound at milepost 29.5 between Cheyenne and Wheatland.

WYDOT District 2 Public Information Officer Jeff Goetz shared the following via Twitter at 2:55 p.m. Thursday:

The roads are still open to most traffic, but WYDOT has encouraged travelers on its website to proceed with caution if traveling through the crash site. Both interstates have been subject to closures for light, high-profile vehicles in many parts of southeastern Wyoming as a high wind warning has affected the area.

Real-time road information can be found on WYDOT’s website.
