CASPER, Wyo. — Both I-25 and I-80 continue to face closures in Wyoming as of 12:10 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT).
I-25 remains closed to all traffic from Cheyenne to Glendo. I-25 is open north of Exit 126 but “no unnecessary travel” advisories remain in effect from Casper to Douglas.
The closures on I-25 could last overnight. WYDOT has provided an estimated opening time for the closed section of I-25 as sometime between 2-4 p.m. Thursday.
I-80 remains closed in both directions between Cheyenne and Rawlins and between Evanston and Granger. Eastbound travel is closed from Rock Springs to Rawlins due to a rolling closure.
Some of the closures on I-80 are expected to lift by late Wednesday night. WYDOT estimated as of 11:30 a.m. Wednesday that I-80 from Cheyenne to Rawlins would reopen in 9-11 hours. The rolling closures between Rock Springs and Rawlins are estimated to be lifted around that same time frame.
WYDOT has not provided an estimated reopening time for the closure along I-80 in western Wyoming from Evanston to Granger.
Multiple highways continue to see closures and travel hazards on Wednesday afternoon. Updated road condition information is available from WYDOT.
