‘No unnecessary travel’ on Casper Mountain Road, Outer Drive and I-25 near Casper

CASPER, Wyo. — The Casper area is seeing snow and cold temperatures on Wednesday, leading to a number of travel hazards.

Casper Mountain Road, Outer Drive (Wyoming Highway 258) and Interstate 25 near Casper all remain open as of 11:25 a.m. Wednesday but “no unnecessary travel” advisories are in effect, according to the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT).

While I-25 is open north of Casper, I-25 is closed to all traffic from Glendo to Cheyenne, according to WYDOT. “No unnecessary travel” advisories are in effect from Casper to Douglas.

Various highways across the state are seeing closures on Wednesday amid the snow storm. Updated road condition information is available from WYDOT.
