Slick conditions on Casper Mountain Road, Outer Drive, I-25 near Casper; ‘no unnecessary travel’ on Wyoming Highway 220 to Alcova

CASPER, Wyo. — The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) reports slick road conditions on highways in the Casper area on Thursday morning.

Wyoming Highway 220 is seeing the most significant travel advisories in the Casper area with WYDOT issuing “no unnecessary travel” advisories from Casper to Pathfinder Road past Alcova.

Casper Mountain Road and Outer Drive are open as of 10:38 a.m. Thursday but WYDOT is reporting slick conditions. Interstate 25 is also open in the Casper area but is seeing slick conditions from Casper to Glenrock. I-25 remains closed to all traffic from Glendo to Cheyenne.

Other highways in the Casper area that are seeing slick conditions include:

  • U.S. Highways 20/26/87 between Glenrock and Casper
  • U.S. 20/26 from Casper to Waltman
  • Wyoming Highway 257
