I-80 closures in Wyoming could last until noon or later Friday; wind closures on I-25 from Casper to Douglas

CASPER, Wyo. — Interstate 80 continues to see closures on Friday morning that could last until noon or into the afternoon, according to estimated opening times provided by the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT).

I-80 is closed to all traffic in both directions from Cheyenne to Rawlins as of 8:25 a.m. Friday, according to WYDOT. Eastbound travel is closed from Evanston to Rawlins. As of 8 a.m., WYDOT listed the estimated reopening times along I-80 as 6-8 hours.

I-25 is open to most traffic across the state, but is closed to light, high-profile vehicles from Casper to Douglas. WYDOT sensors show winds gusting near 60 mph around Casper.
