CASPER, Wyo. — Interstate 80 has reopened to most traffic across the Cowboy State on Friday after facing closures for much of the past few days in the wake of a Wyoming winter storm.
I-80 remains closed to light, high-profile vehicles from Laramie to Elk Mountain due to gusting winds but is otherwise open across the state as of 10:30 a.m. Friday, according to the Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT).
I-25 is also facing a wind closure and is closed to light, high-profile vehicles between Casper and Douglas. Winds are gusting as high as 60 mph in some areas that are facing wind closures on both I-25 and I-80, according to WYDOT sensors.
Other highways in the state are seeing travel hazards on Friday. Updated road condition information is available from WYDOT.
